Denmark 2

In case you haven't figured it out I am posting the emails from Mom so everyone can read them. Cindy

We have had exceptionally lovely weather, breaking the record for high temperatures this week. Today we spent in Odense seeing the interesting Hans Christian Anderson museum and an outdoor museum of peasant life (like Greenfield Village). The city is known for all the bicyclists. In the center of downtown is a counter for bikes passing that spot. When we were there at 3:30 this afternoon the count was 8,300+ for today. Tonight we had a delicious farewell dinner including entertainment by the music teacher and some of our group. So much is packed into everyday but a good sleep refreshes us. Sun sets about 10:30p.m. and it is broadlight again aound 4 a.m.

Tomorrow we go by bus to Copenhagen and are on our own for the afternoon and evening. We will celebrate your birthday in Tiviloi Gardens, Cynthia. Have a good celebration with a hug from both of us. Your light switch change due to medicine cabinets is like our loosing our medicine cabinets and needing new mirrors. Always an unexpected.

This Elderhostel is wonderful and may rank as one of our best. Next day we go by train to Sweden.

Sharon, thanks for the link to time trial tickets. I would like to be there to cheer for Andy in person but I will decide when we get home.

Love to all of you, Mother and Dad
