Swim Meet in Ann Arbor

Dana and I will be competing at the Eric Namesnik Grand Prix in Ann Arbor April 8-10. The pool is the Canham Natatorium at 500 E. Hoover Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. While we will both be focused on our meet and have limited free time, we would be able to say hi to anyone able to stop by the meet. Prelims will be at 9:00 am and finals at 5:30 pm each day.

We might also need a ride to the airport on Monday (and maybe a place to hang out in the morning) as we are flying out in the afternoon and the team we are traveling with is leaving in the morning.

I look forward to getting to see some familiar faces and some new ones as well as introducing Dana to more of my family!

UPDATE: A better website for information regarding the meet: http://www.michigangrandprix.com/. You can order all session tickets through that site as well it appears ($50).

Ready for Anything

With temperatures in the teens this morning you really do have to be ready for anything. Jim plans to take the blade off the 4-wheeler today so I am positive we will see one more big snow. The only saving grace is it will melt quickly. There are a few signs of spring poking their way through. We can hear the chorus of Spring Peepers now, the robins are busy, red wing black birds have arrived and we cut back the ornamental grass in the front garden and raked it. There are a few hearty soles peaking up under the dead leaves and grass. I am ever hopeful!

Puddles Here I Come!

Mckenna was very excited to find a puddle in the parking lot at gymnastics. She figured out really fast she was "safe" there because neither Caitlin nor I wanted to wade in and get her when Sean was loaded in the car and ready to roll.

What's Going Around

Well Sunday morning I had to take Mckenna to Urgent Care in Mason. After being there all morning long we found out Mckenna has RSV which is a very scary virus that children and infants tend to get. It's very contagious so we are hard at work to not pass the germs along to Sean because with his age this illness would most likely put him in the hospital. Thankfully my motherly instinct told me to take Mckenna to Urgent Care and her oxygen level was just high enough so she didn't have to be admitted to the hospital to receive oxygen. She made a huge impression on the doctors and nurses she got a teddy bear and a Popsicle. I wish us adults could get that kind of treatment. :) Mckenna has been a trooper through it all and she is slowly getting better. If Sean doesn't show any symptoms by Friday/Saturday we should be in the clear.
