Birthday Weekend & home

Irma Farmer Moss and I  ready for dinner.
View from my rocking chair on the longest porch in the world at the Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, MI.
Frank and Irma Moss with us for our last rock until next time!

Home with an abundant harvest of blueberries. We picked 11 quarts then called Caitlin to pick for her family.
Grandpa and Mckenna helped.  Mckenna picked a berry, put it in the pail and ate one.
Then we had lemon ice cream with blueberries on top.

July 5 storm cleanup

The maple tree top fell across branch of oak tree and filled top of driveway.
 View from backyard.
 Dad/Grandpa hauling, Don using chainsaw.
Jim getting generator started to keep freezer & refrig cold.  I raked up small stuff, filled wheelbarrow numerous times for others to dump in woods.
Jim and Dad/Grandpa hauling a heavy branch off.
Dad resting, Cynthia made sure he had water to drink.
Mike raked branches and leaves off roof.  Little dent in eave trough, one of 3, only house damage.
Topped tree will be felled on a cooler day.  Don came Sunday morning and cut up more of branch in lower right so wood pile is larger now.  It will heat our friends, the Kylers, house in the winter.  A large branch half way down the driveway was cleaned up too.  Thanks to the clean up crew that 95* day.
