Grafting apple trees
Two years ago after Grandpa/Dad dumped the apple squeezings from cider making in the garden many of the seeds sprouted. So to increase Don's orchard they decided to graft onto these young trees. They did it last year and again today . First you get a bud from good stock, slit the stem of the little twig, insert the bud, wrap it in place and paint over it with pruning sealer. Then wait to see if it takes. In 10-15 years you can go out to Don's orchard and pick apples!
